The Powers Of Matthew Star was an eighties show about a young alien prince and his mentor who were exiled to Earth. The young prince was learning how to use his alien powers and the mentor, played by Lou Gossett Jr , was helping him. Identified with the prince and wished that I was an alien prince in exile and my parents were actually alien royalty and not my human parents.
