It looks like water has stopped filling the ice maker on my Maytag fridge (MSD2754GR) so it has stopped making ice cubes. Any suggestions?

Hi Joycekuhl
Do you still get water from the water dispenser on the door? I'm going to bet that you do.
Here, your model uses a dual water inlet valve and one side may work but the other side may be dead. In this case, the part would need to be replaced. Both sides could also be dead here.
Your refrigerator uses part number 61005626 dual water inlet valve... see image.

To test the ice maker itself, fill it with tap water and see if it freezes and dumps the ice cubes in the tray. If it dumps the ice cubes, the ice maker will try to refill and if it doesn't, then, most likely, the dual water inlet valve is gone and needs to be replaced.
All in all, actually a pretty easy/cheap repair if you or a friend are handy... ;)
Let me know what you think, OK?

I filled the troth with water, the water froze but didn't dump into the tray. The arm of the tray is not lifting and dumping the ice cubes. Do you know what this means? Thanks so much for your help.
