My washer smells of mildew how can I get rid of it? It is also causing my towels to smell of mildew. I have used the tide product that you put in the washer and run a cycle.

Also, does anyone know if my Kenmore Elite has a lint trap attached to it? I have seen various front loaders that have a type of brush in the bottom of the front of the machine that catches lint that needs to be cleaned.

Front loaders need to be wiped down after each use with a small towel all around and inside the big rubber gasket, and the door left open for a few hours afterwards. I've never spent a dime on a product to clean with and waste a cycle, and haven't had any smell.
