Cherry tree is about 3 years old, this year for the first time had blossoms and some cherrys. The ends of the branches had leaves that curled up and looked like black and sticky on the underside. This year though besides that there have been bugs that look like lady bugs but have a turtle hard looking shell and not quite as bright as a lady bug. They attach themselves to the leaves and then lift... its strange. The chew holes through the leaves and then eventually the shells are left behind. I haven't seen one without the shell but the shell skeleton is there. They are not on my zuchinni or squash or even any flowering plants right near so I don't know what these destructive pests are. First time in 11 years here in the pacific northwest I have seen them. How do I get rid of them and what the heck is it?? They even stick themselves to the vinyl windows on my greenhouse
