Fuel leaks are very dangerous and every precaution should be taken to keep away from hot sun -
Garages - pilot light - or any other fire source.
Gasoline fumes travel low to the ground as my cousin found out storing his gas can in the basement
And traveled to be ignited by a pilot light.
I had my experience with a gasoline motor on my boat in the middle of a lake leaking I pulled the starting rope and the engine caught on fire fortunately I was able to unloosen it from the transit
Board and sunk it in the lake.
We were both young mechanics but we learned fast how important safety is for any job.
With that said if you do not have experience in fixing leaks seek the professionals help.
