Can someone explain what wet venting or candy caning is for a flush up toilet system? Or just a simple diagram to where the vent goes?

Hi Arnold...

I need to know exactly which upflush toilet system you have as each type has a specific venting requirement/design.

I'll be checking back in later tonight so let me know more, OK?

Hi AArnold52,

Click on this link and review the diagram on the second page (they call it page 1 but it is really page 2)... should be similar to your setup (1.9MB will take 30 seconds or so to download).

http://www.saniflo.com/upload/products/3/manual_saniplus.pdf

Here, you should have the plumbing fixtures piped up in a way that there is vent associated with the bathroom... you'll connect the saniflo macerator pump vent into the plumbing system vent at a minimum of 42" off the finish floor.

The instructions should come with the macerator pump and you really do need to follow them EXACT! If you don't have the installation maual just contact saniflo @ Installation of pumps, grinders, and toilets for the home | SFA (http://www.saniflo.com) and they will send you a set of installation instructions pretty quick off... ;)

If you have more questions just let me know, OK?
