Is it right for a 14 year old to date a 10 year old any where

Strictly legal answer, yes.

Somewhat side answer - sexual contact can land the male in jail. The difference in age COULD be a problem. Where are you?

Parents who forbid the dating can have the 14-year old (assuming that's the male) arrested for custodial interference.

You are asking if it's "right." Right in what terms or sense? Common sense? Something else?

No, 10 year olds don't "date" they have crushes and may have people who they call girlfriend or boyfriend but it is just someone they may hang out with.

Why would a 14 year old even want to date a 10 year old. True dating is for adults. Not kids.

Legally? It's fine to date. Not kiss, not touch, not have sex.

Is it right? No it is not right unless you are part of that one tribe in the Amazon where you marry at 13.

At 10 one is too young to date. At 14 one is barely old enough to date.

A 10 yr old is a child, no way they are mature enough to handle all the emotional baggage of a romantic relationship. So, In my opinion it is not right at all.

CHILLICHERRY does not find this helpful : I dated when I was 7 :P so what?

Please learn the rules of this site. Negative comments are ONLY to be used when there is a factual error. I expressed an opinion. You may disagree with it, but using a negative comment was inappropriate. And will be removed.

And I doubt if you really dated at 7. At 7 I doubt is you really understood what dating means. At 12 (which is how old you claim to be), I doubt if you still understand it. Oh you may have played at dating, trying to grow up faster than you should. But you don't understand what it really means.

Well I think age doesn't count I't depends on what the teenager or kid knows like sex, romance, and dinners some people might think why would a kid know about sex well its up to the parents on what age they want there kid to know about stuff I mean I know two people that are this age that love each other but don't date but the mom of the 10 year old forbids her to see him but doesn't care about age or any thing like that.

And how old are you may I ask. The people that I see who think age doesn't count are generally teenagers (or younger) trying to justify such a relationship. The fact is that age DOES matter.

A 10 yr old is a child and too young for a an adult relationship. And what really matters here is what the parents allow. It is up to a child's parents when they should start dating. And it would be an irresponsible parent that allowed a 10 yr old to date, especially a 14 yr old.
