I have a 1999 Honda Accord LX and everything was fine until this morning. I went to get in and noticed the parking lights blinking when I opened the door. I sat down and noticed the dash lights blinking also, I tried starting the car and nothing, it won't even crank. I then disconnected battery and reconnected but still the same problem, any ideas?

The passive security system may have failed.
Did you try cycling the key in the door lock cylinder to see if that could possibly reset it?
If not and the security system is at fault, you may need to have it completely disabled (if possible) or completely removed (preferred).

I tried holding the key in the unlock position for 10 to 15 seconds was told I should hear a chirp but nothing, was also told it may be the battery but everything seems to work fine, just will not start.
