Hi, my name is Lenz and I live in Germany. I just bought a 356 replica and there is some hassle at my registration office about the manufacturing of the car, or better to say, the rebuilt. I've to say, that as long as it is a vintage or classic car in Germany registration and insurance is much cheaper on one hand and getting a first registration for a car as a replica is nearly impossible if it is NOT a classic.

Which brings me to the fact, that there is a TRANSFER DATE in the title, which is 2005 in my case, and they say that it must be the date when the car was transferred into a replica.

I say that this is just the date, when the title was transferred from one owner to the other, right?
