I need help with not getting evicted after being served with a 24 hr notice in Las Vegas, NV.

You're going to have to give more info than that, starting with what kind of rental (apartment, office, rooming house, family home, foreclosure, what), and what your lease says, and then with why the eviction, and so on.

Hello r:

If you have an apartment, they begin the eviction procedure with a 3 day notice to pay rent or quit... Please tell us EXACTLY what the notice says, so we can determine WHERE you are along the process.

If you're in a motel or hotel, the process is different.

I rent a home from a property management company, my husband left me and my children, he used to give me the rent money but now he doesn't. I thought I would have enough time to get the money together but unfortunately I got fired from my job. The week I missed would have helped me pay the rent. I've already received the 5 day and know I will be served a 24 hr eviction

I don't know what you are asking but you can and probably will be evicted for non payment of rent. I appreciate that you are in a bad place, but it's not your landlord's problem (unfortunately for you).

Have you applied for public assistance? Have you gone to Court for child support and spousal support?

When did he leave and what have you done since then?

You probably cannot stop it - you can go to Court and attempt to make a financial arrangement and ask for an extension but there are no guarantees.

What have you done regarding child support and spousal support since the beginning of the year (7 months ago) when your husband left? And have you looked into State benefits - Food Stamps, Welfare, Housing Assistance?

ive already recieved the 5 day and know i will be served a 24 hr evictionHello again, r:

If you KNOW, what are you asking us for?? In any case, the eviction process LOOKS like it's just beginning... Once those notices are rebuffed, it's at THAT time that he files in court for the "eviction".. If that's so, you have another 3 weeks or so before the sheriff shows up to put you out.

If you'd like to know for sure, please tell us exactly what the notice says... I think I asked you to do that before...

And I think I've asked about child and spousal support from the husband. Again, I think I'm talking to myself.

Show eviction court proof (such as a Court Order) that the husband is "going" to pay and OP has a CHANCE of staying.

Or sit around and do nothing since January.

There is no such thing as a 24 hour notice. After the 5 day pay or quit, the landlord goes to court for an eviction order. This involves a hearing. If you can't pay by the hearing, an eviction order will be issued and you will have some time to move.
