I received a court ordered eviction for one months rent. I did't appear in court for the proceedings because the realty company said I didn't have to because the order will be possession of the property anyway. Can the amount be amended during the proceedings to include current months with past amount without another another "pay or quit" notice filed? Also if the amount initially filed, be satisfied before the date of eviction, does that stop the eviction?

Yes, the court will normally award the full amount due.

The landlord can always go back to small claims for a judgement of money

Have you moved out already.

When the court issues the eviction order they will generally award all rent due on the date of the order. So, lets say your rent is due on the first. Lets say the landlord files a pay or quit on the 10th. Lets say he doesn't file for the eviction order until the 15th. Lets say the eviction hearing is not until 5th of the following month. That means you owe two months rent.

You shouldn't have listened to the realty company. Sure you don't have to appear, but it's almost always a good idea to appear. Otherwise anything can happen in your absence.

Not at all.
You are the landlord?
