Where do you find these symbols VG-8 F-12 VF-20 EF-40 UNC-63 on the
Large size silver certificates?

That is a fairly common certificate for a large sized bill. Smaller bills started in 1928. As to the symbols I am little help unless you are asking about grading symbols for the condition of a bill, that's what they sound like to me.
