 Is it really hard for many women to conceive? I'm not sure exactly when is the best time to start trying.<br> My fiancé and I always start 10 days after my cycle has gone off but we haven't been able to get pregnant. So, when does the ovulation cycle occur?

Believe me, I am NO expert on this, but I do know that some women have a lot of trouble with figuring out when they're fertile.

This website is good and has tips on normal fertile periods:
Menstruation.com (http://www.menstruation.com.au/periodpages/howdoiknow.html)
(Did you ever know there was such a place? Haha)

Also check with your gyno or general doctor for information. I know there are fertilization specialists available to couples who are having trouble.

GOOD LUCK. :)

Every woman's ovulation time is slightly different. They usually guess right about the middle of your cycle is when most women ovulate(about 14 days after the beginning of your period) but since every woman's cycle length and duration is different, its just an estimate. Some women ovulate immediately after their period, some in the middle, some before the expected period, and even some (while rare circumstance) ovulate while on their periods. They have ovulation tests at the store that you can buy, or online, and you can also start to chart your basal body temperature which will help you know when you ovulate as well. Also, how long have you been trying? It takes most healthy couple up to a year of trying, before they should seek medical help. It never hurts to have an appointment with your ob/gyn to make sure that everything is in working order, and to ask about your concerns. You aren't alone when it comes to your concerns. Doctors are asked these questions a lot more often then you might think.(its hard playing the waiting game) We got pregnant with our first son quickly, but this second pregnancy took us a year to achieve. I hope this has helped. Good luck, and best wishes
