Changed battery in remote; remote is making loud pitched beep every few seconds. Driving us nuts. Please help.

Sounds like the remote is bad or going bad. It may be a circuit within the remote that is bad. The eye may be bad also. Suggest you get new remote or just get up and change fan speed manually. Or look online for a new remote as most things are cheaper online like this rather than in stores.
