Can the pipe be laid in mass quantity instead of gravel for septic field lines?

I have not heard this term used in a septic issue " laid in mass quantity " could you further explain? Where do you live and have you talking to the building inspector who will approve or deny the job?

An inspector came out, but he left before that part of the work was done. Basically pipe is replacing gravel. I am south of you.

There are specific codes and rules on how field lines can be laid, and normally the inspector will require specific feet of line to meet requirements.

The inspector will have to know how the field lines are being done, since their absorption rates into the soil will be part of the determination
