I took my 240 off my well and run it into a new power panel in my work shed and put in 6-15 amp breakers 3 off each leg and run the 240 back through 2o amp fused disconnect box and to the well and everything works for a while then after a short time all the 15 amp circuts quit working but the well never quits working and power panel still has 240. Each of the 15 amp breakes only has 2 or 3 floursent lights per circuit or 2 recepticals and I have never plugged in more than 1 saw at a time that pulls 4to 6 amps. No breakers get tripped at any time just all the 15 amp circust quit working but the box still has 240 but I don't get any 120 at the 15 amp circuts. Also all wires are clean and tight. My e-mail is wingman38555@hotmail SO NO ONE HAS AN ANSWER! I AM GOING TO WORK ON WIRING TODAY AND TRY TO FIND OUT. THERE CAN BE NO SHORT OR BREAKERS WOULD KICK OUT. IAM PUZZLED BUT I DON'T LET ANYTHING GET THE BEST OF ME.

Assuming that your 240 line to the well is a 2-wire with a ground cable , you have no neutral for a 120 circuit.

HK I found problem today there was a break in ground wire in main service panel. Repaired that and all is well. The line to the well is 3/10 with ground. Thanks for your input Steve

A break in a ground wire will have nothing to do with the functionality of a circuit. It must have been something else.

OK.. I'm confused. How did you manage to power a panel in your work shed by tapping into the well circuit? The well circuit should be just a 240v circuit with no neutral which actually cannot properly supply 120v circuits.
And the well circuit should be only for that single purpose.
