I remember when I was little doing little makeovers and putting on lipstick. Now I'm 11 and my best friend is 12. She is started to wear makeup. She is going into 7th grade and she gets to wear it to school. When ever I'm at her house I put makeup on wereever we go and her mom doesn't care. But when we are at my house and I put makeup on my mom says its OK aslong as I stay home but some days I put on stuff that unnoticable and other days I acxedentally put too much on and she says I'm to young. I want her to say when I can were makeup. I know every mom is different when saying what their girls can or cannot do. I don't want to bring it up because she as been grumpy a lot and I'm afried if I ask her she will yell at me then say I have to wait longer. Can someone please tell me the appropriate age or average age to wear makeup?

The appropriate age is when your parents allow you to wear makeup. I think girls as young as 9 are wearing lip gloss. When you say "makeup," what are you talking about?

I would be concerned that your mother doesn't allow it so you go to your friend's house and wear it there.

That's why parents stop trusting their children.
