3 US DDday veterans (2 fit and one disabled since 1945) come on a regular (? Annual) visit from the US to pay homage at the graves of their mates in Normandy. They meet a personable young man (or woman?) also looking to find the grave of his/her father who fought in 1945, and they all join together in the trip, which is at times sombre but very comradely and in many ways happy. The final twist, and moral, when they find his grave is that the young man's father is buried in a german cemetery and had fought for the german army. US Film made in the period 1985 to 1995 I think.
