Hello d:

There are those here who will tell you that you can't ever work in the medical field with a felony. There ARE published requirements for licensing. I'd sure get familiar with them. It would be a shame to invest two years into a field you can't enter.

It appears that "you may" the situation is that you will not know until you apply after you have your education. You have a form to fill out and submit with your application, telling about the details of the arrest and conviction. After that you also submit a copy of your criminal history.

Then they will review and determine if you will be given a license or not.

You may try to contact them, and see if they will review your crime and give you a early determination

From what I found out in school, some areas you CANNOT work in with a felony. Anything involving dangerous items (needls, lancets, ect) radiology may be one of them. The students in my school who had felonys mostly stuck to medical coding and billing, but that may be a block for you as well as the type of your felony is financial.

Speak to an enrollment counselor and be honest and open about your felony so they have enough info to give you the correct answers.

In many places you CAN get the cert. or license. But then you run into a lot of employers not hiring you.

I wish you luck.
