I'm 17, I've only had one boyfriend and it was when I was around 15, he was older than me and after we broke up it took me a while to get over him, by the time I did I realized how much I had grown up mentally because that relationship brought the best out of me (after crying for months). I was not immature before I met him because I know I've always been mature for my age the thing is that I never had the balls to talk to any guy, and he did what not other guy had done before he showed interest and he tried to get to me, I've never been an open person and I have trust issues, but thanks to him I changed a lot and now I do feel comfortable with myself. Now, the problem is that I find a lot of guys my age immature, or maybe not immature but too shallow. I have two examples, I like this guy at my school (X) he is funny and I can tell that he is nice and that he likes me, but X is so different when he is around his friends he acts like if he is hard to get and tries to make me go after him, he is 18. Then there is (Y) and I just think he is awesome, he knows who he is and he makes me feel so comfortable, there is chemistry between us BUT he is 21 and I won't do a thing to try to get him because I don't think he will be OK with it, or he will probably be scared to date a baby like me. I just need some advices, I keep feeling that guys my age just want to bang me and then tell their friends.

At younger years, it is hard, but many women find older men more appealing.
And yes at 17 and 18 some ( not all of course) girls are more mature than the boys. But heck at 40 many women are stlll more mature.

My wife and I for example are more than 10 years difference, she prefers more mature partner.
For others they find a older boyfriend, is already set in his job, is more $$ stable and more.

At 17 date different people, use this time to learn more about relationships
