View Full Version : What Religion Does This Fall Under?

My parents did not raise me to believe any particular religion, they felt it was wrong to choose for me, so I came to my own conclusions, influenced by other religions I have read about.

First off, my faith mainly revolves around feminine power and the moon as a goddess. I believe in the God as The Sun and the Goddess as The Moon. I believe that a certain amount of praying to the night, the elements, spirit in general, and the Goddess, can help protect a person, place, thing or bring luck, happiness, etc. I believe with enough concentration and spiritual energy, you can do these things as well.

I believe every religion is its own attempt to worship the same powers that we as humans cannot understand.

I believe in reincarnation based on the Law of Conservation of Energy (energy cannot be created or destroyed, just converted from one form to another).

I believe every living thing has a soul and should not be harmed, unless for survival (food, or defense against an active threat).

I believe there is always a balance between good and evil.

I believe in the threefold law of Wiccans as well as "harm none and do as you will"

I really would like to be able to give a real answer when people ask me what my religion is, so would you all help me? Thank you in advance.

I don't think your beliefs are a recognized religion. You seem to have selected parts of several religions.

Why do your beliefs need a name?

You have made up your own set of beliefs, as many do, they do not fit into any one religion.

You may fit into Wicca more than any other religion,

I would suggest just witchcraft in general... but yes, very close to Wicca. Even witches don't have a set and formalized religion and it pretty much depends on the individual or coven as to how that religion is carried out.

All religion is just a human belief.

Religion is like philosophy and that is that.

In religious documents were the word 'prophet' appears I think that this was just some one who was forward thinking for there time and were some what of a philosopher.

I think you should believe what you want and not worry about labelling it.

Life is an adventure, no one knows what will happen in the future, as is death an adventure waiting for us all.
