Male (43) (non-Smaker) but doesdrink a lot of beer every for long time but just lately has frequent heartburn0 no refllux- & says he has more saliva in mouth than normal?

Male is a 43 yrs. Old non-smoker, physical at work was fine actually nurse said choleestrol was to low to show up, vary rare? All OK except some hig blood pressure .Is noticing lots of heartburn & says he has excessof saliva that he wipes from mouth, that he says is more than other men at work 5'7 - 5'8" 190 #'s, Very active , does drink beer every day but has done this for years, was never a problem till now, Been very hot last month 80's, always sweats a lot at work, but even in winter? Otherwise in good health, Has not smoked in over a year? Gained some weight from stopping smoking 10# Eats lots of meat tryies to watch fat intake & avoids salt, & walkins the dog at least amile or 2 every night? Only complaint is heartburn & the excess saliva -He says if more than other guys at work & doesn't have a clue why it's doing this ? Thanks in advance for answer! Lori ( His Mom )

It could be several things. Hernia, GERD, ulcer... he will need to see a doctor to get this diagnosed and treated.

Sorry, but no matter how many times you post this same post, the advice won't change. A diagnosis can only be given by a doctor. That's his next step, and only option.

Excessive salivation is a natural response to heartburn. High blood pressure is very common with heavy and frequent alcohol consumption (3+ beers per day). But you're still left with the cause of the heartburn, which as noted above, will probably require a trip to the doctor or at least consult with a pharmacist.
