Hi, I'm doing a dissertation on the tanzanian sisal industry, and I 'm trying to find price information for the period 1940-50. Any world market sisal prices would be useful, in particular prices which relate to the price for British East Africa (B.E.A.) Sisal on the world market. An annual average or whatever would be perfect. Thank you!

Whew! You have taken on a heavy task, my friend. A few of the search engines I have checked turned up very little that I believe would help you out.

The only suggestion I have is wherever you live, go to the largest library in your area and check out what they have. Usually you can find historical information with greater ease than relying on the web.
