I had a hysterectomy 22 years ago, when I was 30, and have found sex to be very painful ever since, and have avoided it as much as possible, which is not fair to my husband of 26 years. I have seen doctors. And have only been made to feel like a fool. My pain is real and it is unbearable. I want to have a healthy sex life with my husband and I do try, but it's always the same. It feels like there is a wall inside me, that gets torn open with penetration (which can't happen without lubricants) he can not penetrate me without lubricants. Once this wall is torn through, it feels like raw open meat getting rubbed against and I'm sore, I mean painfully sore, for days after... We have recently been trying to get our sex life back to where it was and nothing seems to be helping... The want is there, but once he breaks through that wall, I'm in such severe pain, that I can hardly stand it... Any ideas on what's happening ?

Have you sought another doctor? It is absolutely a problem if you experience such serious pain that it affects your sex life so dramatically. I think you should seek out another doctor.

I have been to a couple Dr's. Years ago, including the surgeon who did my hysterectomy. The problem in this area is, no woman Dr's. Are taking on new patients. Male DR's. Don't get it, they stand with their fingers inside me and look at me and say "You're so tight that the circulation to my fingers is being squeezed off. You have to learn to relax." And that's it, no more anything. They send me home feeling like an idiot. REALLY, relax in that situation ? But even in that situation, embarrassment set aside, it shouldn't be painful and I shouldn't be that tight.
