I have used fabric paint to paint stars and moons on my daughter's walls. It dried raised and now we are redoing her room. I've tried sanding it and it doesn't work. I'm not sure what to try next without ruining the painted drywall. Any ideas??

Fabric paint won't sand well since it is designed to be very soft and flexible. Use a single edge razor to lift the paint or get a paint scraper and lightly scrape the stars. Then sand. You will probably need to spackle and touchup the wall. Lesson learned about paint!

The fabric paint you used is probably acrylic based. If so, isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) is a solvent. I have used it to remove acrylic paints and latex paints from my clothes and also from oil based trim at my daughters house. It might be a lot of work and could also remove some of the latex paint on your wall but will help smooth the raised areas without damaging the drywall.
