I have a Kohler kitchen faucet, model K-10412, I think. Because of leaks I am trying to replace the o-rings for the spout. Everything I have seen says that the spout should just lift off after the bonnet nut is removed. Mine doesn't. It moves about 1/4 inch and won't move any further. Can you help

First and before you do anything: Turn water in your faucet ON and turn Sprayer ON and OFF several times.
There is a diverter piece inside the body of your faucet. It may be stuck and in your way preventing you from removing the column.
Then...
Close both angle stops. Remove handle. There should be large nut ( or trim piece ) that holds the faucet column against the plate. Unscrew it and turn the column left and right until it moves freely and without resistance. Then, pull it up in one motion. It won't go easily but it will go.

Thanks Milo for the info, but it's a no go. I tried on two different occasions, hot water, cold water and the results were identical, the spout moves less than 1/4" and goes no further even when lightly pried with a flat bladed screwdriver. The spray mechanism works as it should, shutting the spray on and off as it should.
Any other ideas.
Thanks
