Hello! There,
I need help understanding the ITIN and returns process. I had applied for ITIN for my family members attaching 2010 Federal returns (I would get a refund as per calculations). They issued a ITIN for my daughter after seeking a clarification and sent out a denial letter for my wife and son, despite me sending details. The denial letter also stated that the returns would be processed separately.

However, A week (or 10 days perhaps) later, I received ITIN's for my wife and Son too. Now I need help in understanding how the returns would get processed? With ITIN's or Without? Also, in worst case of refunds not being counted as per the forms, Is there any possible way of asking for a revised calculation and processing of refunds?

Appreciate your help in advance
Regards,
Narsi

Narsi:

You need to wait until you get the refund. That will tell you whether they factored in your wife and BOTH children or not when they processed the tax return.
