Uncle signed over land to me years ago. I had taken to lawyer to handle paperwork, but county came back and said needed new surveys. This was never done and 2 years later, my aunt in financial trouble and creditor wants to put lien on my land. If we finally get this done, will my uncle be in any kind of trouble with signing this land over to me?

Not sure why you needed a new survey merely to record a sale of property unless you were dividing a larger plot into different small plots,

But if they place a lien on the property before you transfer ownership, the lien may be considered valid and you would have to clear them up prior to you recording your deed.

Yes, it is dividing a larger plot. I already have my house on it, and my uncle had to sign a form when i refinanced my mortgage that he was signing the land to me. If by chance they do a title search and see it is in his name still, and we already have an appointment with the lawyer next week to finalize and see what exactly need to done, then ifi get my part before the get the lien filed, will it look like any kind of wrong doing on his part?
