At the time my then ex told me she was applying for cash aid and food stamps because her job was garnishing her checks due to an unpaid hospital bill. I was working a full time job, paying all utilities, paying her school loan and medical insurance for myself, her and our daughter. I had no other knowledge than what she told me, I wasn't familiar with the welfare process. She would get dressed and go to work everyday for a year and a half. I lost my car and my job because she needed my car to pay off her debt to the hospital.. I was later served child support papers for my daughter who I have been taking care of since the day she was born. My ex looked like she saw a ghost and told me she would take care of it. She never did. Then , I learned that she never had a job the entire year and a half, so she cheated me and my daughter. Since then she took my daughter from me and Im still paying child support while she has another boyfriend living with her. Can I turn her in? If I did would I be held responsible? Since she lied to me about everything

Turn her in for what? I don't see any fraud. Are you saying she applied for assistance while you were paying the bills? If so, that might be fraud.

As for you paying support, there had to be a hearing, did you go to that hearing and show that the child was living with you so support was unnecessary? Have you filed for visitation to or even custody of your daughter?

ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.
