Hi,
Is it possible to qualify into the alternative measures program a second time if 2 years has not lapsed yet? I'm aware that the crown has made exceptions in the past for charges such as shoplifting (theft under $5000), etc.
What happens if the parole (NPB) declines the program to an second offender despite the crown's recommendation? Or can this happen since they are 2 different organizations?
Thanks.
Best wishes,

It is technically possible to be admitted into the Alternative Measures Program a second time, the 2 year timeframe notwithstanding, but this decision is at the sole discretion of the Crown Prosecutor.
