Im in Florida, I'm on my 8th M. of a 1yr probation.I missed 2 appts. Last year. The 2nd time I was told I'd be violated if I missed 1 more. The officer seemed fair. Last week I missed an appt. they told me to come in on the 31st. My wife and I are concerned. I need to know if there's a list I can check of violations that would if there's a three strike rule. As far as missed apptments?

Hello mike:

No, there's no list, and there's no three strikes. With probation, there's only ONE strike. If you've had two, you've been pretty lucky. I'd pack a toothbrush.

Let me see, I wish I could add music, I would add that song form the cops show.

But if and when they told you not to miss another one, they meant it, they did not mean normally, I will hope you called in ahead and told them you were not going to be there, or have some good reason, or called as soon as you could after missing it ?

But just missing the one time, is all they needed, I would agree they warned you, gave you one chance, I would bet you are detained for a hearing in front of a judge, he may or may not keep you detained, but my guess is you will be till a hearing.

Just an update, all went well at the probation office PO never said anything about missing the appointment. PO said I need to petition the judge for early termination of probation. I'm writing to the judge but I don't know if it should be in a pleading or just a form letter?
