I've been thinking about this question for a couple days now... I MAY be wrong. Your state labor board MIGHT have regulations regarding this particular issue.. My state does. For example, if you're called in for work here, they MUST give you at least 4 hours.. That's a LOCAL requirement...

I don't see it in the Alabama Code of Regulations (http://alabamaadministrativecode.state.al.us/).

It should be in statute. If so, it would be here (http://law.justia.com/codes/alabama/2009/Title25/Title25.html). I sure don't see it. Nothing even close.

Of course Alabama used to be one of those states where, if you weren't doing your job right, your master could sell you.. . I believe that may have been changed, but I could be wrong.
