That could be several different things. First I'd check that it's getting fuel. How long has it been since you changed the fuel filters? There should be 2, check alone the driver side frame, following your fuel line to the tank. There is also a screen on the suction tube inside your fuel tank that coukld be clogged if you run it to below a quarter tank all the time. If you've got fuel, check you intake air filter and tube. 9 times out of 10, with diesel engines its an air or fuel problem. Check it out if you haven't already.
