Late 1970's or early 1980's movie - post-apocalyptic is style. Can only be described as a combination of Mad Max and Alice in Wonderland. Had a unique character which that looked like a clown, but in one scene he was walking (dancing) down a hill towards an advancing group of thugs. As they were shooting at him, he started to duplicate (clone) himself. By the time he got to the bottom of the hill, there was 10-15 of "himself" parading in line fashion toward the thugs. Can anyone remember this movie?

This "clown" in this movie is some sort of a mutant that can replicate himself. There is also another scene where people are captured and held in clear plastic hangin containers that some sort of "mad" doctor or scientist and he is gassing them with some sort of "fogging" chemicals trying to experiment on them. They escape by burning their way out of the plastic. Other scenes have a talking motorcycle with driver being chased some sort of big armored vehicle (dump truck?). I seen this movie back in 1986 or 1987 and only vividly remember certain things about it. If Tim Burton would have been a director back then, I would have sweared he helped make this movie. It was whacked out, like somebody took a hit of acid while making this movie. So once again, has anyone ever seen this movie or know it's name.

Not sure if this is going to be helpful at all, but the plastic containers scenerio sounds like a scene from The Clonus Horror: YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6ryWiw72pU). The talking motorcycle and armored dump truck could be from Warrior of the Lost World (http://www.bargainbinreview.com/r_WarriorLostWorld.html). The rest doesn't really fit though.
