I have a woodchuck living under my shed. He's cute, but he eats everything. Had some parsley pots on my porch, he climbed the stairs and ate the whole thing. I don't want to kill him. Just want to protect the plants. Any thoughts?

Can't answer that BUT I have a woodchuck living in my area and over the weekend it attacked my dog. The dogs didn't go after the woodchuck. The woodcheck went after the dogs.

I'd block the stairs - otherwise, I don't know to stop him short of trapping and releasing him somewhere else.

Attack you dogs? Oh no, that woodchuck has to go! Trappers seem to like to trap them or shoot them. Frankly, they like to shoot them. In your case, cute doesn't cut it. Get rid of him. We just planted tomatoes in huge pots on the porch. Set them up high. Not sure it's going to work. Thanks Judy Kay. Good luck with your woodchuck.

Thanks - I have the Have-A-Heart market cornered in my area!
