I was suppose to start my period on Jan. 21st and I am always on time or a day late. Wednesday I started having little brown discharge so I thought maybe my period but it never came. I have more brown discharge and no blood. Wednesday morning I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. Could I be pregnant? I have 2 kids and me and my husband don't believe in birth control. We believe if God wanted me to be pregnant than I would be. Or could it be something else. Please help me. I'm worried.

Sounds as though you are starting your period a little late. Please read the sticky at the top of the women's health forum. It describes reasons for all kinds of colors/periods/discharge.
If I may, what is your age? This is an important factor.

I will be 23 in March. I have never had this brown discharge before.

There is not enough to wear a pad or liner. I know we had sex at the time I was ovulating but I don't know. With both my kids... I had no signs oh being pregnant. I don't have any insurance right now because my husband just switched jobs other wise I would go to the doctor. I called the health unit and they can't take any more people. I am not cramping or anything. Its like this brown discharge came out of no where.

Did you read the sticky at the top of the forum? Brown discharge is completely normal. It is "old" blood, meaning it is blood that was not discharged with your last period.
No need to panic. The only reason to panic is if the blood is bright red.

I read the sticky. I have seen very small small amounts of blood mixed in with the brown discharge.

If indeed you are starting it should only be a day or so. If it is any longer it may be in your best interests to seek the advice of your health care provider.

It is possible, but doubtful. If you are curious take a HPT first thing in the morning. Even though some say you can use it any time of day it is better to do it first thing, results are more accurate in the morning.
