Two years ago a limestone querry was found about a quarter of a mile from our home. A gravel company is mining the querry. Our house sits less than 50 feet from the rural road the trucks travel on to trasport gravel. We have tolerated loud noices, large vehicles and machinery, dirt and dust and not to mention the dynomite blasts that shake our house. The gravel company has constructed a business sign on our property. Is there any legal compensation for us?

A sign on your property? Ask the company to take it down. In fact, TELL them to either pay you to have the sign there OR take it down.

As far as the noise, dust, etc. are concerned, what does your Town say about Permits? Other neighbors must be complaining.
