I have a 10 yr old Trane Unit and it wasn't coling like it should. Called someont to check it & they said my compressor was bad I need to replace the unit, they also added too much coolant to the unit. Got a second opinion from a dealer, he did a more intense inspection, said there was too much refrigerant in the unit, said he had never seen anything like it. He did a leeak test & informed me that it was a leak around the coil, said nothing wrong with the compressor. Is this repairable & could it still do the job of cooling the home with the leak?
