I'm looking for a good book on California history. I recently moved here and I would like to better understand this wonderful state. I'm more interested in southern California history as that is where I live.

Visit your local public library and look at books in 979.49 (SoCal history) and 917.949 (SoCal travel). Or, talk with a reference librarian who also have "moving to" information available.
