View Full Version : Probation violation?

I am on the last month of my probation, I was given 6 months for a possession charge (pot), my record aside from this is clean and I have had 2 officers in the time I have been on papers, my new officer told me that I am a "low risk" probationee and at my 3rd month visit she told me that my old officers once a month visits were not normal and she put me on a mail in period for the remainder of my probation.
Now, a couple days ago I was pulled over for having a different states plate on my front bumper (my rear plate was a valid plate with current tags) and I was given a warning for that, then the officer asked if I had insurance and I do not so I told him just that, for that I got a ticket. I plan to report it to my PO shortly and am curious if this will be reflected upon poorly and possibly cause my PO to revoke me. Anybody out there know what might happen when I tell her?

Anybody out there know what might happen when I tell her?Hello lil:

You'll need to BUY insurance in order to mitigate the ticket, anyway. So, buy it TODAY, and call your PO. Since you'll HAVE insurance when you call, she probably won't do anything... But, I don't know. They seem nice sometimes, but they can turn on you.

Just the person I was hoping to answer lol
Thanks ex
I'll heed your advice and pick up some cheap insurance to aleviate the situation before I call her.

I will agree with excon on this, normally traffic tickets are not really any concern, some PO are really serious on DUI and no insurance since it leaves others at risk of harm.

But if you get it, for two reasons, have it when you go to court and perhaps your drivers license will not be suspended. And then to show the PO you are trying to correct this
