I was sliding down the side of stairs and it was thin. I was going up one by one as I got the hang of it. On the 7th step I started to slide down and on this slide I decided to go slowly so my hand stayed and then I collapsed as my ankle twisted. Only the ankle bone from the side looks very swollen. It hurts when I walk and I limp a lot. I really want to know if I have a broken ankle instead of sprained. Because people say your both feet begin to show differences but my legs look perfectly the same right now that only about 2-3 hours have passed. Ive been relaxing my foot and giving it ice. Please help!!

There is no way for us to tell you if it is sprained or broken. You would need an X-ray for that.

Sprains generally do swell, but broken will swell also. Probably best to have it go checked out.
