Hi All,

I have an a 80Gig hardrive that I have put into an external case but when I plug it in it does not show up under my computer.

The computer recognises it but does not show up anywhere for me to access the files that are on it.

I have tried two different external cases and neither work.

I have information on the drive already that I desperatley need and had the same problem a few months ago and a friend showed me what to do but ca't rememnber and he is out of town.

Is the external case using USB 2 to connect to the computer.If it is try changing the jumper on the hard drive to master. Most drives show you a diagram of the jumper palcement. If not go the internet type in the manufacturer's site in Google and then search for support for that drive.
