Every time I dye my hair a dark color, it always ends up coming out REALLY fast. I dyed it black and purple, but they both came out fast. Now I want to dye it black with brown highlights. What do I do?

Are you using shampoo and conditioner for colored hair?

First of all, don't wash your hair more than twice a week and when you do, use a shampoo and conditioner specifically for colored hair. I shower every day, but only wash my colored hair once or twice a week. Wear a shower cap. If your hair gets a little greasy, put a little talcum powder at the roots and comb through or use a dry shampoo. Also, never use a clarifying shampoo on colored hair, it strips the color.
