My these is as follows: Music, as a major influence on young teens and adolescents, encourages violence and bad behavior through its suggestive lyrics and corrupt messages. I'm thinking I could write about music and violence in different music types such as classical, pop, rock and rap. I will also use statistics to prove the point and suggest censorship as a solution but I can't think of too much more.

You are making sweeping generalisations here that cannot be substantiated.
I think you need to go back and thoroughly review your ideas.
Censorship is NEVER the solution in a Free Society.

Censorship won't work. Better would be for composers and performers to embrace and preach the opposite message of respect for others, kindness, and cooperation. Now, how can that be done?

Subtopics -- grassroots letter and email writing effort with local music lovers participating, Facebook profile developed for positive messages to be sent to composers and musicians and performers, Twitter set up with frequent tweets, web site created, blogs set up, make personal connection with local and even national names in music in order to get them on the bandwagon, get the message out via YouTube.

So many good things have been accomplished using electronic media (e.g. Betty White on SNL, Obama elected president), so why not this? Go viral with good music.
