Somogyi is a Hungarian name, and there are several recognised artists by that name, such as Ervin Somogyi, one of the greatest steel guitar makers, and Erika Somogyi, but this particular painter I can't place.

There is a V. Somogyi listed as an artist on askart.com, but there are no examples of his work:

I see. Thanks! I wasn't even sure whether it reads "Samo.." or "Somo..", and whether it is a 'V' or a 'W' in the first name's initial.
