What is the best way to get provo out of your house for sure?

Read the entire article but yes bleach will kill parvo. Parvo FAQs (http://www.workingdogs.com/parvofaq.htm#parvo_prevention) BTW, most carpet will be worthless after bleaching.

You'll also have to clean and bleach your entire yard, all bedding, clothing, etc. etc. Not just the carpet.

However, if your dog recovers, and it was PROVEN to be Parvo, immunity will probably be his best protection. But that will do no good for any other canine pets you may have.

Stools and/or vomit passed by the infected animal are the main sources of infection, so those areas in the yard should be approached with most interest.

Bleach is very effective, and is attractive mainly because it is quite cheap. (Not counting the damage it does to fabrics.) There are other quite effective disinfectants that won't hurt fabrics. Your vet may be able to help there, for a price, of course.
