I moved into a new home about 2 years ago. About 3 months ago I started smelling a faint smell of sulfur and in the last month it has gotten much worse.

I thought maybe an animal had gotten into the attic.

I inspected the roof and all overhangs as well as the inside of the house and no where was there a place where any thing could have come int the attic. I have had the attic folding stair down a few time when I was working in the larger part of the attic.

Now I'm wondering ,about my health, if it is something dead.
Does any one have any suggestions to help me .I'm 74 and a little too caucious to go into the tight parts of the attic where most of the ac duct is located.

What kind of business can I call to help with this? The ac installer?

THANKS, RASMITHA1

If it is a dead animal, usually the odor goes away in a month or 2 after the carcus dries up. I would start looking for dried up plumbing traps or poor plumbing ventillation. It is tough for me to say, since I can't smell it myself, as to whether or not call a plumber or a HVAC serviceman.
