Over the past 8 months I have received derogatory and inflamatory statements on my cell via text messages from a woman who has been living with my ex-boyfriend until recently when he left her. I have had no direct contact with her yet she has emailed my sister through Facebook making comments about me being in danger, being taken advantage of by her ex-boyfriend and about me stalking him by sending letters to him through the mail. The final straw came when I received a call from her at my place of employment. She indicated that she and this man had met at her home so that he could get his belongings back. According to her, he tried to run her over. She accused me of knowing that he was there, which I did not and that we would both have to pay for his attempt on her life. When I denied having any knowledge of what she was talking about, she screamed, "Then I will call your boss. Lets see if he wants you when you have no job." I immediately called the police from the county where she lives and swore out a complaint against her. What steps do I need to take at this point to protect myself from further harassing statements from this woman?

Go to Court, take your evidence, get a protective order.
