Hi I have been taking birth control for about 5 years and right now I'm on necon 7/7/7. I just realized that for the passed week I have been taking my pills backwards from my new pack and it's the only contraceptive I use. Me and my boyfriend has sex last night. What will or could happen and how will this taking it backwards thing affect me. There are 4 different colored pills and the pack says norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol tablets

You could get pregnant.

I certainly would call my Doctor when his practice opens and ask. Your Pharmacist is also a very good source of information.

You should use a back up form of birth control until you get your next period.

Here's a good site: Alesse (100 mcg levonorgestrel/20 mcg ethinyl estradiol tablets) - Drug information from MediLexicon (http://www.medilexicon.com/drugs/alesse.php)
