I need to know whichcolor wires to hook up where on the unit outside. I believe I have the answer for thethermostat inside. Ourthermostat isHoneywell TH3210D1004 and we have a new Payne Central Unit with a heat pump. Please someone fill me in on how to do the wires outside.

How many wires do you have coming from air handler and what color are they? How many wires does your heatpump have and what color are they? How did you wire the thermostat and the air handler? Google the model number of your t-stat to make sure it's for heat pump systems. The installation instructions on the thermostat will show yo how to set it for heat pump. They usually need to be programmed for heat pump or a jumper might need to be moved. Sometimes they have a switch.
